This semester I am teaching one on-site class at Mendocino College. It is the popular Watercolor For Older Adults, and we are following all the Covid protocols to keep us all safe. I will be teaching in the spring, beginning in January 19, 2022. I am also teaching a more concentrated version of Watercolor for Older Adults online beginning March 21, 2022. The Online class will be 8 weeks, with a weekly Zoom meeting every Tuesday 2:30-4:00 pm, (except school holidays.) The Zoom meeting will offer slide shows, class discussions and an opportunity to show work. These meetings really help connect everyone in the class. The weekly assignments can be painted on your own schedule, when the time is best for you. Instruction will be given at the Zoom meetings and by viewing my videos. The Online class will be focusing on creative journaling in a sketchbook. We will paint what we see around us, and there will be instruction in how to draw and paint trees, flowers, birds, skies, people, and more. There will be journal prompts for inspiration.
Since these ART-522 classes are non-credit, with no grades, the cost is only $12. per semester. High School students are encouraged to join. They are mixed level classes, and some beginning skills will be taught. Experienced painters will be inspired with new ideas and techniques to try.

Kid's Art Camp
My Kid's Art Camp in the summer of 2019 was a lot of fun. We had 20 young artists and I was assisted by my granddaughter, Haley, who did movement and silly songs in the mornings, and my best friend, Nancy, who worked with me to give each child personal attention. These are the beautiful paper mache' bowls that the children made. My adult class, below, was also a lot of fun, and we had a great time creating.
I will have to see what the Covid restrictions are for any summer kid's classes. Classes usually happen the second week of July.
